What is NetROCKEY4?

NetROCKEY4 is built with same hardware architecture with ROCKEY4 but have additional network aware capability. NetROCKEY4's advanced client/server based technology support TCP/IP, UDP, NetBIOS, and IPX networks. The protected client application will be able to search the NetROCKEY4 through the LAN. Developers can restrict the maximum number of concurrent users with NetROCKEY4 thus make selling software with user license never been so easy.

In the case of software developers offering multiple modules, NetROCKEY4 allows you to protect up to 16 applications per dongle at any one time (up to 64 applications for NetROCKEY4ND). Since every NetROCKEY4 dongle comes with a unique ID, software developers can even restrict the application to only allow execution with a particular dongle.

NetROCKEY4 Tools

NetROCKEY4 comes with useful tools for developer to implement it more effectively:

• Shell Encryptor

This tools is similar to ROCKEY4's Enveloper of which it enables developer to encrypt executable files (program that developers wish to protect with NetROCKEY4) with some pre-defined protection criteria such as the maximum number of concurrent users that can run it, etc. This simple tool will enable developers to start protecting their applications with just few simple steps.

• NrConfig

NrConfig is a tool that developer can use to edit the network configuration files needed for NetROCKEY4's Service Program. Developer can change the setting parameters such as protocol type, time to live, server address and other information required for the dongle to attach to the network.

• NrMonitor

NrMonitor is designed for developers to monitor the activities of all NetROCKEY4 devices on the network. If it is installed on the PC running the Service program, it can also be used to start and stop the Service functions or kill a client. NrMonitor can be used to confirm the functionality of the network where the NetROCKEY4 is attached.

• NrTest

NrTest is a tool used to let developer test the functionality of the NetROCKEY4 system, i.e. if it can find the NetROCKEY4 means the whole NetROCKEY4 system on the PC is working fine. NrTest utility requires basic passwords to work.

• Editor (Using the same Editor as ROCKEY4)

NetROCKEY4's Editor is a useful tool for developer to perform dongle configuration, testing and batch production. This convenient tool allows developer to learn and edit the usable memory of NetROCKEY4 dongles.

• Data Recorder (Using the same Recorder as ROCKEY4)

NetROCKEY4's Data Recorder give developer a way to keep track and record issued dongle configuration. It provides a simple dongle management solution.

• Remote Update (Using the same Remote Update as ROCKEY4)

NetROCKEY4's Remote Update provide developers a way to create a secure patch file to update NetROCKEY4 dongle remotely. All the contents will be encrypted with DES and can only be decrypted with the valid ROCKEY4 dongle. With this tool, developers can simply re-enable the dongle, open more functions or re-license the dongle, etc.
